takeone is a screen recording and video sharing service run by Shahzaib Jak. This page explains what data takeone stores and why. Contact: szaib2140@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your profile picture.
- A password hash if you sign up with email and password. We never store the password itself.
- Recordings you upload, with their titles, thumbnails, transcripts, captions, edits and click positions.
- Comments left on recordings, with the name the commenter enters.
- A view count per recording, and session cookies that keep you signed in.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, takeone requests only your basic profile (name, email address and profile picture) to create and identify your account. We do not request access to any other Google data, and we do not share it or use it for advertising.
How we use it
Only to run takeone: to sign you in, store and play your recordings, produce transcripts and captions, and show recordings to the people you share them with. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Where it is stored and who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the app and stores account data and recordings.
- Amazon Web Services runs the transcription service. Audio is processed there to make the transcript and is not kept after the transcript is produced.
- Google provides sign-in when you choose Sign in with Google.
Sharing
Recordings are visible to anyone with the link unless you set them to private or add a password. You control this per recording.
Keeping and deleting data
Recordings stay until you delete them. Deleting a recording removes its video, transcript, captions and comments. To delete your account and all of its data, email the contact address above.
